Adelaide Hills vs Beaches: which would you choose? (the winner surprised us)

Adelaide Hills vs Adelaide beaches is a tough choice. Which would you choose? Our winner surprised us! South Australia has impressed us, but Adelaide has just taken it up a notch. From Glenelg to Hahndorf, Adelaide is off to a very good start! 😅 We start the comparison in Glenelg, a place we can only describe as a mix between Fremantle, Manly and St Kilda… or maybe it is just uniquely Glenelg? 🏖️ Next beach stops: West Beach and Henley Beach. Both are really lovely areas, but West Beach has trucks digging up the sand (not very peaceful). Henley Beach is where Josie discovered that life does not revolve around Instagram… those coast snaps are actually used to monitor the coastline. 😂 Day 2: the Hills. We start at Cleland National Park with a hike up to Mount Lofty. We definitely were not prepared for this, we should really research more. 😂 Waterfall Gully is fantastic, but we were promised four waterfalls and only found two. 😮 Next up, the Botanic Gardens. Wow. We were not expecting this. They are beautiful, easily our favourite in Australia so far. Orange, red, green and blue everywhere. 😍 Lastly, Hahndorf. I was going to write this next bit in German, but I thought better of it. 😂 Hahndorf is a German settlement in the Adelaide Hills and it is so cute. You cannot miss Hahndorf when visiting Adelaide, no way. Do people talk about this place?
