We Didn’t Expect to Find a Town Like This in Australia (Hahndorf South Australia)

Australia has a German town. A proper one. Hahndorf, tucked into the Adelaide Hills is Australia's oldest surviving German settlement in the entire country. 🥨 And as soon as we heard about it, we knew, we had to see it for ourselves. A shop filled with cuckoo clocks, German beer and pretzels at the Hahndorf Inn, a gorgeous local artisan market, and a feeling of Christmas we didn't expect in South Australia. Before we continue into the Adelaide hills for a wildlife encounter, we never get tired of, at Belair National Park. 🦘 #hahndorf #adelaidehills #vanlifeaustralia #southaustralia 0:00 Australia has a German settlement?! 0:22 Arriving in Hahndorf for the first time 1:16 A shop full of cuckoo clocks... 3:28 German beer & pretzels at the Hahndorf Inn 7:13 Hahndorf local artisan market 9:40 Camping at Belair National Park 10:07 Getting surrounded by kangaroos 🦘 12:34 Racing the rain back to the van 🚐 ABOUT US: We're Ashleigh and Luke - a UK couple who quit our 9-5 jobs to travel the world!
