First Impressions of Victoria... in The Grampians (not what we imagined!)

We’re in The Grampians National Park… and the weather is WILD! The Grampians is located in Victoria, which is also the last state of our lap of Australia… but what a place to start. The Grampians and Port Fairy, our first taste of the Victorian coast, does it get any better than this? 👀 We start our Grampians adventure at MacKenzie Falls, which also marks the beginning of Josie’s happiness metre… currently at 0 (mainly because of her wet shoes and the weather!). Next up, we head to The Balconies, which is basically a natural balcony, and we both agreed we’d NEVER sit on the edge for a photo 😅 Happiness metre is creeping up… Our last walk of Day 1 is The Pinnacle hike, which took us through one of our favourite starts to a hike EVER… the Grand Canyon Walk (unbelievable 😍). This hike was harder than we expected, but the reward was worth it… for James. Josie was TERRIFIED (obviously). The Pinnacle has amazing views, but it is SO high up… happiness metre back at rock bottom 😅 Day 2 starts with coffee (obviously), then we walk through the botanic gardens to Venus Baths. After that, it’s time for our final Grampians hike… Beehive Falls, just fantastic! And the happiness metre finally reaches 100!!!! 😁 We finish this trip in Port Fairy, with a quick stop at Pea Soup Beach, then Griffiths Island. We didn’t actually make it onto the island, but the pathway over was too cool not to walk across 😅 Would you do The Pinnacle hike in weather like this?
