The city of Dubno celebrated a special event this year – the 360th anniversary of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On September 8, the temple holiday, many believers gathered here to celebrate its rich history, deep spirituality and invincibility that has been preserved through the centuries. The Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is one of the oldest shrines in Dubno. Founded in 1665, it witnessed key historical events. Initially, the temple was part of a monastery complex, and later became an important parish center. Its walls have seen the rise and fall of eras, withstood wars and survived decades of atheistic persecution. Thanks to the efforts of many generations of priests and parishioners, the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary has always remained a center of faith, hope and love for the city's residents. So this year, at the festive Divine Liturgy, parishioners, clergy, and guests offered prayers together, thanking the Virgin Mary for her intercession and asking for blessings for Ukraine. After the Divine Liturgy, a procession around the church took place, and on the occasion of the church holiday, thanks and awards were presented. After the Divine Service, refreshments awaited parishioners and guests, a prayer song was sung, and the traditional “Mnogaya lita” was sung. The celebration of the 360th anniversary of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos is not only a summary, but also a look into the future.
