Its cute, toy-like appearance, resembling a watermelon or melon, makes it look delicious, but it actually contains a poison called cucurbitacin, making it extremely bitter and difficult to eat. However, hearing that caltrops were once eaten as a vegetable, I decided to give it a try, even though I didn't expect it to be a viable option.
