PART 7 - Day out in Marrakech /Bahia palace/koutoubiya mosque /El badi palace/Suneer candy/chickandy

#Morocco #traveltomorocco #travelvlog #ibnbattuta #malayalamvlog #merzougadesert #saharadesert #merzouga #marrakech #marrakechcity #chickandy Morocco becomes my 19th country-Masha Allah, and this vlog is Part 7 of the journey 🇲🇦✈️Check my channel for previous parts. Morocco Travel Series – Part 7, Marrakech Started the day in the best way possible, watching a beautiful sunrise right in front of my hostel. Calm, quiet, and a perfect reset before stepping into the chaos of Marrakech. After a simple breakfast at the hostel, I headed out on foot to explore the city. First stop was Bahia Palace, but unfortunately it was closed due to ongoing construction. A bit disappointing, but that’s part of travel. Next, I made my way to El Badi Palace. The entry ticket was 100 MAD. This place dates back to the late 16th century, built by Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur to showcase his power and wealth. Today, it stands in ruins, but that’s what makes it special. The massive courtyards, sunken gardens, and old walls still carry a strong sense of history. I spent quite a bit of time here, taking photos and just soaking in the atmosphere. After that, I grabbed a quick local sandwich and continued walking through the streets. Since it was Friday, I headed to Koutoubia Mosque for prayers. I was hoping to go up the minaret, but it’s closed on Fridays, so missed that chance. Post prayer, I took a short taxi ride to Chickandy Restaurant. Interesting spot, owned by a Malayali named Suneer candy who settled in Morocco years ago.I had my lunch from there. By evening, I reached Ben Youssef Madrasa. It was quite crowded, but still managed to explore the place. The architecture and detailing are stunning, even with the rush of people around. Then came one of my favorite parts of the day just walking through the souks. Marrakech has a different energy altogether. Every street feels alive. Shops, colors, smells, sounds… you can literally find anything just by walking. Picked up some pastries, argan oil, and a few cosmetic items Morocco is known for. Before wrapping up the day, I stopped at Cafe Restaurant Dar L'hssira for dinner. Tried traditional couscous, went with chicken ifaya couscous. Simple, flavorful, and a perfect way to end the day. Headed back to the hostel at night, tired but satisfied. Day 7 done. #Morocco #traveltomorocco #travelvlog #ibnbattuta #malayalamvlog #merzougadesert #saharadesert #merzouga #marrakech #marrakechcity #marrakechpost
