The RPPRAC denounces the unjustified price increases that have persisted for years, despite attempts at reform since 2009. Aude Goussard highlights the considerable price differences between Martinique and mainland France for identical products, citing a large-scale distribution system that benefits from tax exemptions while charging high margins. The movement also criticizes the lack of local food diversification, with agricultural production still centered on sugarcane and bananas, primarily for export.
