GBO2 V2 Gundam: 750 cost is finished!
This video contains three matches I had with the recently released LV1 Victory 2 Gundam on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 750 cost raid with access to a Minovsky Drive skill that grants full flight movement in addition to various different buffs, a powerful ram attack that drains enemy thrust, incredible stagger resistance, amazing melee damage, a heavy attack that can be combo'd into, good stagger game, alongside amazing mobility in general. It suffers from having a lack of mid-range DPS, being somewhat easy to friendly fire with alongside being pretty easy to take out while the Minovsky Drive skill isn't activated. I am not fully satisfied with these matches, they ended up being fairly stompy. My other matches that would have otherwise been competitive, ended up being full of allies friendly firing 24/7, which was quite frustrating. I plan to record another video with V2 once all the hype dies down. I hope that you enjoy watching! Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 3000 (2500x2) power, 8 ammo, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range, 1.5 seconds focus time and 35% (65%x2) stagger value. This really powerful for an instant stagger beam rifle, having amazing performance in every regard. Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2900 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and 80% combo modifier. This has high power and shares the same long reaching downswing as the original V Gundam. It benefits from LV2 Aerial Melee. Its first sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 170 power, 70 ammo, 600 RPM, 15 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1700 DPS and 7% stagger value. These have high DPS and can stagger in about 1.5 seconds. Its second sub weapon is a pair of beam sabers with 3000 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 1 second focus time, 100%x2 downswing modifier and 300% heavy attack modifier. These share the same moveset as the Wing Zero (EW), they can do high damage after a downswing. The heavy attack has very quick focus time, and can be used after a single saber downswing. It benefits from LV2 Aerial Melee. Its third sub weapon is a beam bazooka with 3800 power, 100% heat, 20 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range and 4 seconds focus time. This has long overheat time and focus time, but it ignores enemy buffer skills and heavy staggers. It also has a fairly large splash radius. Its fourth sub weapon is an underslung grenade launcher with 2800 power, 1 ammo, 12 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 250m range and 80% stagger value. This has high power and instantly staggers, but it has a fairly long reload time. The LV1 V2 Gundam has 24500 HP, 28 ballistic resist, 28 beam resist and 28 melee resist. Its small size allows it to avoid shots that other suits could not, but it is still squishy nevertheless. If you get shot down while flying, you might get one combo'd before gaining i-frames. It has LV4 Maneuver Armor, LV1 Offence System, LV2 Heavy Attack and LV1 Special Emergency Evasion for defensive skills. Special EE reduces thrust overheat time if you are hit by an attack while rolling. In terms of mobility it has 150 walking speed, 235 boost speed, 85 thrust and 93 turning speed. It has excellent mobility, being not only pretty quick on the ground, but incredibly mobile in the air too. It has LV4 Forced Injector, LV4 Flight Control, LV1 Flap Booster and LV1 Minovsky Drive System for mobility skills. LV1 Minovsky Drive System is activated via the touch-pad, doing so enables space movement (much like the regular Flight System skill does). It costs thrust to activate, consumes no thrust to keep activated and disables thrust recovery while active. While active, you deal extra damage, have improved boosting speed, can fire your beam rifle/underslung launcher while boosting, have access to a wings of light thrust draining ram attack and dodge roll attack, you consume much less thrust and you take 40% less stagger accumulation (stacks multiplicatively with LV4 Maneuver Armor). Once de-activated, it has a cooldown time between 2-20 seconds, depending on how much thrust you had left. It also gets LV2 Power Accelerator and LV2 Pursuit Aux. Melee Program. In conclusion, I feel that the V2 Gundam is way too strong right now. It has a fun kit, and it feels accurate to the show (apart from it rather frustratingly, having the V2 Assault shield rather than the beam shield). However, its stagger resistance with Minovsky Drive activated is too much. It has a total of 278% stagger resist when boosting with M Drive activated, and that is before considering that vulcans will have their stagger power rounded down, meaning that it will take 50 vulcan shots just to stagger it. I hope that they nerf the stagger resistance to something reasonable. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
