GBO2 RX-0 Phenex (Post-Buff): It can finally fly!
This video contains three matches I had with the recently buffed Phenex on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700-750 cost general with access to a barrier sub-weapon in both modes, very high durability, lock-on plates that deal high damage and high stagger accumulation, access to Flap Booster, amazing vulcans and great melee damage. It suffers from being relatively easy to take out in normal mode, from the plates needing a clear line of sight to connect, and from being unable to use the cannons while either the barrier or lock-on plates are deployed. This suit was recently buffed with 27000 HP, a barrier sub-weapon for normal mode, +5 walk speed for both normal and NT-D modes, LV1 Flap Booster in NT-D mode, 4000 HP restored and -20% damage taken once Awaken mode activates, -15 rather than -35 ranged modifier once Awaken mode activates, 3500 ram attack power, LV4 Flight Control in NT-D, LV1 Offence System in NT-D mode, LV2 Aerial Melee System in NT-D mode, 8 seconds reload time for the vulcans, 720 RPM for the vulcans, 8% stagger value for the vulcans, 1300x2 (1600x2) power for the beam cannons, 1 second cooldown time for the NT-D mode beam cannons, 1200 (1350) plate lock-on attack power, 175% dual beam saber downswing modifier, 170% beam tonfa downswing modifier and 15 seconds overheat time for the NT-D mode barrier. Its primary weapon is a beam magnum with 3600 power, 5 ammo, 350m range, 5 seconds cooldown, 14 seconds reload, 0.77 seconds swap time, 0.8 seconds focus and 10% stagger value. This needs to focus before firing, but it has high power. Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 3000 (3100) power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 50% (70%) combo modifier and 130% (175%) downswing modifier. This is a regular beam saber in normal mode, but it dual wields them in NT-D mode, with an easy to use moveset and access to LV2 Aerial Melee. Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 150 power, 40 ammo, 720 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1800 DPS and 8% stagger value. These have insanely high power and stun potential for vulcans, stunning in 1.08 seconds. Its second sub weapon is a back beam cannon with 1300x2 (1600x2) power, 50% (80%) heat, 1 second cooldown, 450m range, 18 (13) seconds overheat and 35%x2 (50%x2) stagger value. These don't instant stagger in normal mode but have low heat and short cooldown time for continuous fire. In NT-D mode they change to regular instant stun cannons with high power and stagger value. Its third sub weapon is a lock on plate attack with 1200x2x3 (1350x2x4) power, 1 ammo, 350m range, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time and 35%x2x3 (35%x2x4) stagger value. These lock on like funnels and send out high ballistic power shields to attack the enemy. They need a clean line of sight to hit though. Its fourth sub weapon is a plate barrier with 100% heat, 0.5 seconds swap time and 17 (15) seconds overheat. This weapon deploys a 2250 HP shield around you that blocks all stuns, including melee, until it is destroyed or 15 seconds have passed. It has less overheat time in NT-D mode. In NT-D mode it also gains access to a tonfa melee weapon with 3700 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.33 seconds swap time and 170% downswing modifier. This has a long range stabbing downswing and benefits from LV2 Aerial Melee. The LV1 Phenex has 27000 HP, 30 ballistic resist, 32 beam resist and 16 melee resist. It has high HP paired with 35% damage reduction buffers, with these buffers further improved once NT-D mode activates. It also has both LV2 (LV3 in NT-D) Emergency Evasion and LV1 Maneuver Armor. In terms of mobility it has 130 (135) walk speed, 220 (230) boost speed, 75 thrust and 69 (84) turning speed. It has passable mobility by default, but becomes really fast in NT-D mode. It has LV3 Forced Injector and Flight Control in normal mode, but LV4 in NT-D mode. It can activate NT-D at 80% HP via the touchpad, which changes its loadouts and stats accordingly, alongside granting LV1 Flap Booster. This drains 75 HP per second, but after 30 seconds of being in NT-D mode, it can activate Awaken mode. This stops the HP drain, restores 4000 HP to you and allies within a 300m radius, reduces your ranged modifier by 15, reduces your melee modifier by 5, and reduces all damage taken by 20%. In conclusion, I think that the Phenex has became a very strong suit thanks to these buffs. It can have trouble getting started, since it isn't all that strong in normal mode, but the new barrier sub-weapon makes it much more feasible to survive until you can activate NT-D, after which you become an absolute monster. It can dish out high melee damage, high ballistic damage and high stagger output, all while being quite durable itself, so I can highly recommend it.
