GBO2 Gundam (Casval Deikun): Char's Gundam is finally here!

This video contains three matches I had with the recently released LV1 Gundam (CD) on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 450 cost general with incredible melee damage, two instant staggers, high HP, amazing mobility alongside easy access to knockdowns. It suffers from having high heat on the beam rifle, from having 0 ranged modifier, from having mediocre stagger accumulation and from having only 6 mid range custom part slots. I hope that you enjoy watching! Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 1600 (2400) power, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 90% (95%) heat, 13 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m (450m?) range, 3 seconds focus time and 10% (20%) stagger value. This has a very high heat rate, but each shot instant staggers. Charged shots deal high damage and can pierce through enemies. Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 1900 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. This uses the same moveset as the original Gundam. It won't do a ton of damage on its own, but it can still deal more than you might expect, thanks to the suits very high default melee power. Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 100 power, 30 ammo, 450 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 5% stagger value and 750 DPS. These aren't the best vulcans at cost or anything, but they are better than having the regular trashy Gundam vulcans. They can stun in 2.66 seconds on their own, and they can break MA LV1 in about 1.5 seconds if you fire your bazooka first. Its second sub weapon is a bazooka with 1600 power, 5 ammo, 6.5 seconds cooldown, 10 seconds reload, 1.77 seconds swap time, 300m range and 60 stagger value. This does decent damage and instant staggers. It has pretty short reload time, so you will always have it available to start your combos with. Its third sub weapon is a kick with 1700 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 100% side swing modifier, 150% downswing modifier and 80% combo modifier. This has fast swap time and deals more damage than your beam saber. The neutral and side swing animations are taken from the Narrative Gundam, the downswing is a Char kick with long range. It also has a 4000 HP shield. The LV1 Gundam (CD) has 17500 HP, 14 ballistic/beam resist and 20 melee resist. It has pretty high HP, especially considering that it is a fast walker like the Alex and Perfect Gundam (TB). It has LV2 Emergency Evasion as a defensive skill. In terms of mobility it has 135 walk speed, 200 boost speed, 65 thrust and 63 turn speed. This is really great mobility for a general, especially since it has 95% side strafing speed and 90% back strafing speed, making it in-between the G-3 Gundam and the original Gundam in terms of strafing ability. It also has LV2 Forced Injector and LV2 EX Boost. In conclusion, I think that the Gundam (CD) is a really fun suit. I have been wanting this suit for a very long time, but I didn't think that it would ever come. I was pleasantly surprised to see its step up banner announced this morning. I have been getting consistently good results with it so far, and I have managed to bring my rating up quite a bit. So to me at least, it feels like a strong suit. Although, despite this, I can see that the suit has some serious weaknesses. Its stagger accumulation ability is quite lacking, which means that it could struggle to intercept raids unless it can just go for raw melee. It doesn't deal that much damage from a distance either, which could seriously impact its overall viability on wide open maps that encourage shoot-outs. I would personally call it a strong and viable melee general, but you should keep these weaknesses in mind before you roll for it. It certainly looks better than the White Gundam that they released last week, since it has superior mobility, superior melee damage, two dodge rolls alongside the ability to swing twice with its kick sub-weapon. In the end anyway, the LV2 Gundam seems like it is stronger than both the White Gundam and Gundam (CD), so you should only roll for the CD if you really like it. Thanks for watching!
