Verónica 🇪🇸🇪🇸– Parte II 🌱 Se empieza a enredar mi vida en el Opus Dei...
EPISODE 80 – AUTHENTIC LIVES In this episode of Authentic Lives, Verónica Navarro continues her testimony as an auxiliary numerary in Opus Dei. She takes us to the heart of an experience of spiritual abuse that many auxiliary numeraries have endured in silence: the study center, the invisible domestic work, the emotional detachment, the unquestioning obedience, and the progressive deterioration of mental health. Verónica recounts how, while still very young, she was thrust into an exhausting work routine: laundry, ironing, cooking, serving in the dining hall, attending to boys' centers, and a constant demand for outward cheerfulness even when inside she felt fear, exhaustion, and emotional numbness. One of the central phrases of this episode summarizes the core of the problem: it wasn't a lack of critical judgment; it was a critical judgment that was nullified, trampled upon, and punished. This video does not point the finger at people of good faith who were or are members of Opus Dei. It points to a system that spiritualized exploitation, called exhaustion "dedication," and presented what was often control as a vocation. At Agora, we believe that telling the truth is part of rebuilding. Obedience should not mean annihilation. Freedom is not a lack of spirit. And whoever begins to look at their history clearly has already begun to reclaim their life. If this testimony helps you, share it. It may reach someone who still can't put words to what they experienced.
