【永久保存版】青梅とは香りが全然違う。完熟梅の梅シロップ|Ume Syrup

This year, I went all the way to Mikata Five Lakes in Fukui Prefecture to buy ripe plums and made plum syrup 🌿 While plum syrup is often made with green plums, this time I used fragrant, ripe plums. From the moment I started preparing it, a sweet and fragrant aroma filled the air, and the finished syrup was even more fruity than I imagined, with a deliciousness that's hard to find in commercially available products. Although this year's plum season is over, I hope this will be helpful for your plum preparations next year 😊 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 【Recipe】 〈Ingredients〉 ・Ripe plums 1kg ・Rock sugar 1kg 〈Instructions〉 ① Sterilize the storage jar. ② Gently wash the ripe plums and thoroughly dry them. ③ Remove the stems. ④ Layer the plums and rock sugar alternately in the jar. ⑤ Store in a cool, dark place, and gently swirl the jar daily to dissolve the rock sugar. ⑥ Once the rock sugar has dissolved, remove the plums and store only the syrup. *Storage in the refrigerator will keep for approximately 6 months to 1 year. *If you are concerned about fermentation, adding about 100ml of apple cider vinegar is also recommended. *Ripe plums are more prone to fermentation than green plums, so fermentation may occur depending on the storage environment and the condition of the plums. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🇬🇧 English This summer, I made Japanese Ume Syrup using fully ripened Japanese plums from Fukui, Japan. Most people make ume syrup with green plums, but ripe plums create a much richer and fruitier aroma. The fragrance while making it was incredible, and the finished syrup tasted amazing.
