Emanuel Christ (Christ & Gantenbein) x Hans Poelzig ; The Difficult Double

Emanuel Christ (1970) is a Swiss architect, professor at ETH Zürich and half of the Christ & Gantenbein architectural practice. http://www.christgantenbein.com/ In this lecture, he speaks of his ''friendship'' with the work of Hans Poelzig and their common ground within autonomy of form, image, nostalgia and a set of other stimulating notions. It was given at the EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), on the 2nd of March 2015 and is part of the Difficult Double, a series of lectures organised and curated by FORM, with the aim to discuss parallels, connections and architecture as collective knowledge in general.
