Christophe Van Gerrewey - ''OMA: The first decade. Hope has returned''.
Christophe Van Gerrewey (1982) is an architectural and literary theorist. This lecture is about the first years of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture. A small experimental and idiosyncratic practice led by Elia Zenghelis and Rem Koolhaas, OMA dealt - during its first decade in existence and in the aftermath of delirious New York - with the inherent optimism of construction and its issues. It was given at the EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne), at the ''Project Room'', on the 27th of October 2014 and is part of the fall Semester program of FORM, ''Roman Architecture''. FORM (Laboratory for architecture as form) is: Kersten Geers, Andrea Zanderigo, Dries Rodet, Giovanni Piovene, Jelena Pancevac, Joris Kritis, Anne-Valérie Nemitz. http://form.epfl.ch/
