Today, I will be sharing how to make Savory healthy Onion bread. There is no sugar, butter, eggs at all, but the sweetness and aroma of stir-fried onions enhance the flavor of the bread. Stir well until even brown, then cool at room temperature. 1. Put all purpose flour, salt, and instant dry yeast in a clean bowl and lightly mix with a whisk. 2. Add in honey and lukewarm water in 3 portions. At this point, the dough should be moist that neither dry nor too sticky. Make a loaf of dough and transfer it to the workbench to start kneading the dough. 3. Use the heels of your hands to push down and outward, fold the dough in half toward you and press down. Continue to knead, folding and turning the dough, until it is smooth and supple. This can take as little as 10-15 minutes. Take a small piece of dough and slowly stretch it out in opposite directions. If the dough becomes thin enough to appear semi-transparent before it tears, it’s done. Then, add the prepared stir-fried onion to the dough and lightly mix. Shape the dough into a smooth ball of dough. Transfer the dough to a clean bowl and cover with a wet cotton cloth. Let dough proof until puffy and doubled in size in a warm place. (About 1 hour-1,5 hour / Time may vary depending on the temperature of the working environment.) 4. Transfer the dough to the workbench. Press out the gas from the dough, and then form the dough into a large ball. Cover the top and wait for 20 minutes. 5. Remove the gas from the dough again. Place the smooth side of the dough to the bottom and press it to make it wider. And roll the dough from top to bottom. Pinch the joint and let it go to the bottom of the tray. Let dough proof in a warm place until it doubled in size. (About 40-50 minutes) 6. 15 minutes before baking - Put a container with boiling water and a towel in the bottom of the oven and preheat it to 220℃ (428℉). (If there is an oven steam function, turn on the function instead.) 7. Sprinkle a little flour on the surface of the dough and make some cuts carefully. Just before baking, spray the water evenly into the oven. (You can make a crispy bread by this process.) Bake it for 15-20 minutes until the top is dark brown. (Baking time may vary depending on oven specifications.) 8.
