The Orloof roast! It's truly the most classic butcher's specialty, found in almost every butcher shop in France! Here, I wanted to try four variations (there are others!) with different ingredients and techniques! Regarding the prices for each technique, I've included an estimate here! It will definitely vary depending on your region, your butcher, etc. For roasts of approximately 1.5 kg: Level 1: ≃ €20 to €30 Level 2: ≃ €30 to €40 Level 3: ≃ €40 to €50 Level 4: ≃ €60 to €80 Ingredients: Level 1: 1 kg pork tenderloin 2 slices of bacon 20-30 thin slices of bacon 20-30 slices of Raclette cheese Level 2: 1 kg pork tenderloin 1 pork caul fat 20-30 slices of Emmental cheese 1 slice of bacon Level 3: 800 g / 1 kg thin veal cutlets 20-30 slices of Emmental cheese 20-30 slices of cured ham 2 strips of bacon 1 caul fat Level 4: 800g/1kg veal fillet 20-30 very thin slices of Comté cheese 20-30 thin slices of cured ham For cooking, feel free to use the tips in the video and experiment to improve! :) Enjoy the video!
