Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway - The Snowdonian(2026) DBLM Steam

#FWHR #FfestiniogandWelshHighlandRailway #TheSnowdonian Triple-headed 80 mile special train across the the complete line, in gloriously sunny spring weather, on Saturday 26th April 2026. Featuring Blanche and David Lloyd George on the FR and Linda, Prince and Lyd on the WHR. Locations including Tan y Bwlch, Tan y Grisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Boston Lodge from the seaward side of The Cob, departing Beddgelert at the start of the 1/40 climb, Pitts Head, Caernarfon, Dinas and the southbound climb up to Rhyd Du. Tinder dry vegetation after a dry spell and with strong easterly winds in the preceding days - the water spraying trains in attendance on both lines and the almost inevitable lineside fire north of Beddgelert. This is always a great spectacle showcasing the best of both lines, the motive power and efficient operation - and this year was certainly no exception! The sight and sound of the sound of the three FR locos working on the WHR will remain a very memorable highlight! I hope you enjoy viewing - please feel very welcome to leave a comment!
