"Yo nena, yo princesa": cómo acompañar a las infancias trans | Gabriela Mansilla | TEDxCordoba

What truly makes us free? Trans children challenge what we think we know about family and identity formation. Gabriela's story is a testament to a mother's love as she supports her daughter in her struggle to be herself and belong. Gabriela is the founder and president of the Civil Association Free Childhoods. She is the mother of Luana, the first trans girl in the world to obtain a national identity document (DNI) without legal proceedings. She is a speaker and writer. She is the author of the book "Yo nena, yo princesa" (Me, a Girl, Me, a Princess), which was adapted into a film. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
