How do you put yourself in the shoes of a victim of sexual violence? In her talk, Paulina Donoso deconstructs storytelling using technology and innovation. Her virtual reality project, "When Silence Talks," exposes users to the emotions of an abuse victim, generating greater empathy and understanding of the relevance of this public and social problem. Paulina Donoso is the Director of the Multimedia and Audiovisual Production program at UDLA in Ecuador. She is completing her Ph.D. in Communication at Austral University in Argentina, specializing in political documentary script analysis. She is a member of the Ecuadorian Academy of Audiovisual and Cinematographic Arts. She was the technical director of the Ecuadorian National Film Council and leads the country's cultural and creative industries cluster. She is the director of the "When Silence Talks" project, winner of the Artizen XR Latam award, the XR Development Market award at the New Images Festival in Paris, and winner of the IDFA Spotlight award at the Mediamorfosis Festival in Chile. She is a screenwriter and has directed several music videos and short films. She is the director of the international VR/AR festival “MULTIFEST,” which is held in conjunction with the French government. She organized the Cannes Film Festival's XR satellite event and is a member of XR Latin America.
