Botany Boy Takes a Nature Hike: Mountains, Flowers and Forests
The mountains of southern Japan offer a view into an amazing array of wild flowers and forests. In this video I take a nature hike into the woods only a 10 minute walk from my front door. The plants encountered are both exotic and commonplace, and often quite unexpected to the uninitiated. No less than 4 orchids are seen on this outing, as well as several edible plants, and a couple plants commonly grown in western gardens. Come along for this nature jaunt and enjoy the sights and sounds of the mid-spring woods.
