SOMEDAY, I'm going to do that: The Lesson of the Camino de Santiago
SOMEDAY, I'm going to do that: The Lesson of the Camino de Santiago. We finished a 6-day, 75+ mile walk from Tui, Spain to Santiago de Compostela along the Camino Portugues. We added it to our bucket list a year ago and this week, we made it happen. Everyone says the Camino will teach you a lesson. Here's what we learned. Here's what we heard everyone talking about. It was a common theme. If you've never heard of the Camino de Santiago, it's a pilgrimage from many starting points, but they all end at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. It's a challenge that many do for their own personal reasons. The walk is as long as you want it to be and there's help all along the way. If you've ever said "someday," realize that the day may never come. Until you put it on the calendar and plan to make it happen, it's just a dream. Commit to doing the things that are truly important to you, even it if takes work, planning and even sacrifice. You've only got this one life...use it wisely!
