Asparagus Fern and Ficus Work, The Bonsai Zone, July 2026

I'm pruning my Asparagus Fern and doing some clean up work on my Ficus microcarpa. (the one called Plain) I also show updates to some of my trees. Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' is not a true fern, but a member of the lily family (Liliaceae). It is native to Mozambique in South Africa. It is grown elsewhere as an ornamental plant but has become an invasive species in several locations where it has been introduced.
