Self-Kindness He also tells us why it is important to not only be mindful of your own experience, but also turn this loving awareness to the experiencer, i.e. yourself. Christopher Germer is a clinical psychologist, meditation teacher, co-founder of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion and the author of bestselling books, such as "The Mindful Path to Self-Compassion". Together with Kristin Neff, he has created an eight-week program in Mindful Self-Compassion that has been spread throughout the world.
