In this review, I'm going to take a look at another beer from the Firestone Walker Brewing Company (‪@FirestoneWalker‬), and it's their Have a Cigar, the 2026 vintage. This is an Imperial Stout that is aged in bourbon barrels and chocolate rye whiskey barrels, conditioned on Amburana staves with Madagascar vanilla beans. Named after the classic Pink Floyd song from 1975, it sounds like an absolutely insane offering, as it contains pretty much everything I like. How is it? Let's find out! Inspired by the complex character often found in cigars themselves, this stout carries notes of chocolate, baking spice, and roasted grain at its core, with bourbon barrel aging contributing structure, oak, and spirit depth. Both Amburana and Madagascar vanilla contribute aromatic life and soft spice character, while rye barrel influence adds subtle complexity across cocoa and toasted wood notes.
