Wild Camping on the Edge: Skye Trail Day 2 (Trotternish Ridge)

Day 2 of the Skye Trail was easily one of the most demanding—and rewarding—days of the entire journey. We left Flodigarry and immediately hit a 1,500ft climb to reach the Trotternish Ridge. The scale of the drop-offs and the endless views across the Quiraing are hard to put into words. We finished the day with a wild camp right on the edge of the ridge, waking up to a view that I’ll never forget. This is what hiking in Scotland is all about! ⬅️ Previous Day: Duntulm to Flodigarry (Day 1):    • Is this the best view in Skye? | Skye Trai...   ➡️ Next Day: The Long Descent to Portree (Day 3):    • Waking up on the Edge: Trotternish ridge t...   Key Moments: 00:00 - Leaving Flodigarry 04:12 - The brutal climb to the Ridge 05:52 - Looking over the edge (Vertigo warning!) 10:52 - Finding the perfect Wild Camp spot 12:40 - Atmospheric Sunset on the Ridge #SkyeTrail #TrotternishRidge #WildCampingScotland #HikingAdventure #Skye #Scotchmizzed #SkyeTrail #WalkingTheSkyeTrail #SkyeTrail2026 #ScottishHiking #HikingScotland #ScotlandTravel #IsleOfSkye #SkyeAdventure #NatureWalks #TrailWalking #OutdoorExploration #LandscapeLovers #HikingAdventures #ExploreScotland #TravelVlog #NatureLovers #Wanderlust #Travel2026 #ScotlandNature #MountainHiking #WalkingVlog #HikingTrails #ScenicWalks #Shorts #AdventureTravel #TravelTips #EcoTravel #BackpackingScotland #HikingCommunity #GetOutside
