Great Glen Way Day 5: The Unexpected Diversion (It was Murder!)

Day 5 of the Great Glen Way was supposed to be our "easy day"—a flat, 10-mile saunter from Fort Augustus to Laggan Locks along the beautiful Caledonian Canal. However, a major forestry diversion had other plans for us, turning a flat walk into a serious mountain climb! As Graham says in the video, "it was murder!" We eventually made it to Laggan Locks for a well-earned meal at the Eagle Barge and a peaceful night under the stars. 📍 Route: Fort Augustus to Laggan Locks 🚶 Distance: ~14 miles (including the detour!)
