The criminals, disguised as recyclable material collectors using balloons to conceal their faces, attacked him. Initially, the police considered the case a robbery, but the confession of Ronaldo da Silva, known as Tatu, revealed a carefully orchestrated plan by his widow, Maria Francileide. Besides promising R$ 200,000 and several properties in exchange for her husband's life, she fabricated stories about abuse to convince the killer to commit the crime.
