“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20) Everyone who has put their faith in the gospel and become a member of God's family automatically becomes an ambassador of Christ on earth. We may already understand what an ambassador is, but it is important that we become familiar with the responsibilities that accompany such a position. A true and faithful ambassador is one through whom God's message of reconciliation is made known and visible in the world. We must understand that God did not save us merely for our own benefit.
