Ingredients Cake Batter 3 eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 cup sugar 1 cup cocoa powder 1 cup warm water 2 cups all-purpose flour Half a cup oil 1 tablespoon baking powder Ingredients Syrup 3 tablespoons sugar 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 300 ml milk 50 grams chopped semi-sweet chocolate Ingredients Brigadeiro (Brazilian Fudge) 1 can sweetened condensed milk 2 tablespoons cocoa powder 100 grams heavy cream (from a carton) 50 grams chopped semi-sweet chocolate Ingredients Crunchy Topping 150 grams melted milk chocolate 150 grams hazelnut cream 110 grams cornflakes Preparation Method Cake Batter 1. In a bowl, combine the eggs, vanilla extract, sugar, cocoa powder, and warm water. Mix well. 1. Gradually add the wheat flour while stirring until smooth. 2. Add the oil and baking powder and mix. 3. Transfer to a greased and cocoa powder-dusted baking dish (22 cm in diameter x 8 cm high) and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40 minutes. 4. Remove from the oven and set aside. Preparation Method Syrup 1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, and milk and mix well. Cook over medium heat, add the chopped semi-sweet chocolate, and stir until the chocolate dissolves. 2. Once it comes to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. Preparation Method Brigadeiro 1. In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, cocoa powder, heavy cream, and chopped semi-sweet chocolate and mix. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Approximately 15 minutes. Turn off the heat and set aside. Preparation Method Crunchy Topping 1. Spread the cornflakes on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes. Remove and stir halfway through or until caramelized. 2. Remove from the oven, let cool, loosen any stuck cereals, and add the melted milk chocolate and hazelnut cream. Mix well and set aside. Preparation Method Assembly 1. Remove the top (crust) of the cake, crumble the cake and keep it in the pan. Drizzle with syrup, spread the brigadeiro covering the entire cake and refrigerate for 20 minutes. 2.
