Asakusa Ichiyo Sakura Matsuri Oiran Dochu 第17回 浅草観音うら 一葉桜まつり おいらん道中
Near Asakusa, Tokyo in mid-April, Ichiyo Sakura Matsuri Festival features two tayu (oiran) courtesans appearing in a colorful retinue and on stage . They reenact the Yoshiwara red-light district's oiran dōchū courtesan procession held in the 17th–18th centuries. This video was taken on April 13, 2019 for the 17th Ichiyo Sakura Matsuri Oiran Dochu. Held annually on the second Sat. of April at 1 pm on Komatsubashi-dori street north of Asakusa Kannon Sensoji Temple.
