TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Several Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officers conducted a search of the home of the inactive Sukoharjo Regent, Etik Suryani, located in RT 2/RW 5, Bumi, Laweyan, Solo, on Thursday (July 16, 2026). The search lasted from 9:30 a.m. to around 11:00 a.m. WIB. During the search, the KPK confiscated two black suitcases from Etik's residence. The head of RW 005, Bumi Village, Laweyan District, Solo City, Muhammad Basit, explained that the house was usually occupied by Etik Suryani's younger sibling. He stated that both of Etik's parents had passed away, so the house was occupied by other family members. The gray and red house was identified as one of the locations suspected of being used to store evidence related to the alleged extortion case. The arrival of the KPK officers was also accompanied by police security. Basit added that Etik did not live at the house. He stated that Etik only occasionally visited his sister, as she was more often at the Solo Baru housing complex or at the official residence. He also stated that Etik was a native of Kampung Jagalan, Bumi, Laweyan. After marrying Wardoyo, Etik moved to follow her husband. Basit confirmed that Etik's extended family is indeed from the area.
