It’s easy to make, incredibly moist, and perfect for breakfast, afternoon tea, or dessert. 🍒 Ingredients Cake Batter • 250 g all-purpose flour (2 cups) • 2 tsp baking powder • A pinch of salt • 120 g unsalted butter, softened • 150 g sugar (¾ cup) • 2 eggs • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 120 ml milk (½ cup) • 250–300 g pitted cherries • 2 tbsp cornstarch Crumble Topping • 120 g all-purpose flour (1 cup) • 60 g sugar (¼ cup + 1 tbsp) • 70 g cold butter, cubed • 1 tsp ground cinnamon 👩‍🍳 Instructions 1. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla. 3. Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt, alternating with the milk until a smooth batter forms. 4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan. 5. Toss the pitted cherries with the cornstarch and spread them evenly over the batter. 6. For the crumble, rub together the flour, sugar, cold butter, and cinnamon until crumbly. 7. Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the cherries. 8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. 9.
