The Long Mature Terrace, Douglas
Cork Environmental Forum, with support from Cork City Council and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage are delighted to invite you to view this series of informative videos. "How to Invite Biodiversity Into Your Urban Garden" introduces us into 6 very different gardens in Cork City and explores how nature is nurtured and encouraged in these spaces. Chris Gibbons takes Roisín Towe around his long, mature terrace garden in Douglas. We are shown the importance of creating zones or areas in a long garden - and creating areas for insect life to prosper. The preservation of trees is also vital and we see what a key role urban gardens can have on the conservation of wildlife.
