Into Victoria’s High Country | Day 04: Mansfield to Dinner Plain | Great Divide Ride Ultimate

Today was pure Victorian High Country. Leaving Mansfield, we pushed deeper into alpine terrain — climbing higher through tight mountain tracks, steep ascents, and some of the most iconic landscapes this ride has to offer. This was the kind of day riders come here for: Steep climbs. Technical sections. Big views. Craigs Hut was a major highlight, but the bigger story was what’s happening within the group. By Day 4, fatigue is starting to creep in. Pace is changing. Limits are becoming clearer. Some riders are settling into the rhythm… others are learning exactly how demanding 30 days on the bike may be. This wasn’t just another stage — this was the High Country doing what it does best.
