Aylesford Village Level Crossing, Kent

Date filmed: Friday the 3rd of October 2025 Route: Medway Valley Line Between Maidstone Barracks (MDB) and Aylesford (AYL) Stations Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing with CCTV (MCB-CCTV) Filming location: Station Road, Aylesford (ME20 7QR) A level crossing on a very busy road in Aylesford, Kent, located near the small village itself. 2014 is when this level crossing in its current guise dates back to, and control still is taken care of from nearby Aylesford Signal Box at the station. The line is quite curved but cluttered here, and one of the alarms sounds rather croaky now. The footway on one side of the road is very narrow and ends just after the level crossing, yet there is an alarm over there very oddly away from those pedestrians whom it was designed to benefit.
