Edinburgh to Newcastle - Border Express

I've been saving this footage since November 2022 to break the journey up. It's a gorgeous autumn day and we take a mid afternoon fast ride back from Edinburgh Waverley to Newcastle Central via the upper section of the ECML. We actually run east out of Edinburgh along the southern bank of the Forth until Dunbar then we swing to the south. We take in those amazing cliff top views down towards the border at Berwick then have a little look at the amazing Royal Border Bridge. We tot up numerous closed stations and discuss all things railway while assessor Gary Tully concentrates on getting us in just before sunset.
