The plaintiff says her car was badly damaged by rocks thrown from the roof of the building where the defendant lives. She claims the defendant or one of his friends was responsible and is suing for the damage. The defendant admits he hosted a party on the roof but insists none of his guests would have thrown anything onto the street below.
