Bikepacking the Royal Chilterns Way, King Alfred's Way & South Downs Way

I set out on a 500km bikepacking trip across southern England, linking together three of the UK's best-known off-road cycling routes: the Royal Chilterns Way, King Alfred's Way and the South Downs Way. THE ROUTE : https://ridewithgps.com/trips/3858038... Starting on the Dunstable Downs, I followed the Royal Chilterns Way south before joining King Alfred's Way towards Queen Elizabeth Country Back. From there I rode the South Downs Way towards Winchester before heading north on a mixture of quiet lanes, back roads and countryside routes to reconnect with the Royal Chilterns Way and complete the loop. This was less about speed and more about enjoying a long-distance bikepacking journey through some of England's finest landscapes, from the Chiltern Hills to the South Downs, covering around 500 kilometres of gravel tracks, bridleways, country lanes and rolling countryside.
