Wiesław Gryn and his family run a farm covering approximately 1,100 hectares. His headquarters is located in Rogów, a half-hour drive from Zamość. The farm's history dates back to 1785, when the Gryn family arrived in the Zamość region from the German-French border. Successive generations have developed the farm for over 240 years, facing not only weather and market crises, but also wars and partitions. Today, Wiesław Gryn stands out for his broad and often unpopular approach to agriculture. The results are impressive. Average yields on the farm reach approximately 10 tons of wheat, 100 tons of beets, and 5 tons of rapeseed per hectare. The key to such results is the soil – its health, structure, and water-holding capacity. As the farmer emphasizes, land should not be measured solely in hectares, but also in cubic meters. For many years, the farm has been focusing on no-till farming. Wiesław Gryn has created numerous innovative solutions and machines, often modifying equipment from various manufacturers to suit his own needs. Despite his vast acreage, he continues to expand the farm and believes that agriculture is facing the greatest revolution since World War II. Together with his son, he is implementing cutting-edge technologies. One example is a sprayer equipped with a modern pulse spray boom, ensuring better plant coverage and more efficient use of pesticides. The machinery is dominated by Case tractors, led by a 500-horsepower Steiger model. The combine harvesters also come from this American manufacturer. As the farmer himself says, "They do a lot, they burn a lot." Harvest capacity reaches 400-500 tons per day, and in corn, up to 800 tons. Such results require appropriate logistics. The farm has an extensive warehouse facility, which is currently being further expanded, and the receiving hopper capacity exceeds many facilities, even those found in ports. The experienced farmer emphasizes that the future of agriculture will be based primarily on logistics, efficiency, and skillful soil management. Few people also know that Wiesław Gryn, together with a friend, owns an impressive collection of dozens of vintage tractors. Among the machines are true gems of ancient agricultural mechanization. The farmer admits that perhaps in the future they will be able to create a private museum from them.
