Karol Gierada and his family run an impressive farm in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The acreage currently covers approximately 900 hectares, and the owner announces he will continue to expand. "Tough times are coming. Weak, small farmers won't be able to cope," says the farmer. The Gierada family also operates a produce collection business, with storage space capable of storing over 30,000 tons of grain. The 38-year-old farmer notes that much of the material is loaded directly onto trains and exported out of the country. The third, and newest, line of business is the sale of used Fendt tractors, which has been running for about seven years. Karol Gierada imports tractors primarily from Germany, buying them from authorized dealers. He currently sells around 60 tractors annually.
