SHOW DETAILS Show: Masala Mornings | Dosti Kay Rang Host: Shireen Anwar Guest: Farzana Wamiq Date: 16 April 2026 Channel: Masala TV RECIPES FEATURED • DAHI KOFTAY Ingredients: Yogurt ½ kg Meat balls 6 pieces Green chilies 2 pieces Finely chopped coriander 2 tbsp Garlic pastes 1 tsp Whole red chilies 4–5 pieces Roasted cumin 1 tsp Roasted coriander 1 tsp Salt as required For Tempering: Curry leaves 10–12 pieces Whole red chilies 5–6 pieces Cumin seeds 1 tsp Method In a bowl, mix yogurt with chopped coriander and green chilies. Add garlic paste and salt, and mix well. Fry the kotay separately until golden and then add them to the yogurt mixture. Sprinkle roasted cumin, roasted coriander, and whole or crushed red chilies on top. For tempering, heat a little oil in a pan, add curry leaves, cumin seeds, and whole red chilies, and fry briefly. Pour the prepared tempering over the Dahi Koftay and serve hot. • Kashmiri Gosht Ingredients: Mutton 1 kg Tomatoes (chopped) 4–5 pieces Salt as required Crushed red chili 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp Vinegar 2–3 tbsp Black pepper 1 tsp Oil 1/2 cup Fresh coriander as required Green chilies as required Capsicum (cubes) 1 piece French fries as required Boiled eggs as required Method: In a pot, add mutton, chopped tomatoes, salt, crushed red chili, and ginger garlic paste. Cook until the meat becomes tender. Once the meat is tender, add oil and cook well (bhunai) until the oil separates and the masala is fully cooked. Now add vinegar and black pepper. Then add capsicum and cover on low heat for 5 minutes (dum). Dish it out and top with French fries and boiled eggs. Finally, garnish with fresh coriander and green chilies, and serve hot. • SAUCY GOLA KABAB Ingredients: Beef mince (with some fat) 500 grams Salt as required Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp Raw papaya pastes 1/2 tsp Green chilies (finely chopped) 3–4 pieces Fresh coriander (chopped) 2 tbsp Red chili powder 1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder 1 tsp Chaat masala 1 tsp Roasted cumin powder 1 tbsp Roasted coriander powder 1 tsp Garam masala powder 1 tsp Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp Lemon juice 2 tbsp Bread slices (soaked) 2 pieces Fried onions 1/2 cup Clarified butter 2 tbsp Coal (for smoke) as required Creamy Sauce: Clarified butter 3 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped) 1 1/2 tsp Green chilies (chopped) 1 1/2 tsp Cream cheese 1 cup Milk 1/4 cup Salt & black pepper as required Chicken powder 1/4 tsp Salt (optional) 1/2 tsp Method: In a bowl, add beef mince, ginger garlic paste, raw papaya paste, salt, green chilies, and all the spices. Now add lemon juice, fried onions, fresh coriander, and soaked bread. Mix well and knead the mixture until soft. Marinate for at least 1–2 hours or overnight. Then shape into round kababs. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the kababs on medium heat until golden brown and fully cooked. For a smoky flavor, place a piece of hot coal in a small bowl inside the pan, pour a little ghee over it, and immediately cover. Remove the coal after 2–3 minutes. Serve hot. Sauce Method: Heat clarified butter on low-medium flame and fry garlic until lightly golden. Add green chilies and cook for a few seconds. Lower the heat, add cream cheese, and stir continuously. Add milk and mix until the sauce thickens. Then add salt, black pepper, and chicken powder.
