Everest Base Camp Trek Day 4: Namche Acclimatisation

Namche Bazaar isn't a rest stop, it's a threshold. Past 3,000 metres, altitude sickness becomes a real risk, so Day 4 is built around one rule: climb high, sleep low. We push up to Hotel Everest View at 3,880 metres, then return to sleep at 3,447 metres in Namche. The distance covered is nearly the same as our climb from Monjo to Namche, but the altitude tells a different story.
