EVEREST Base Camp: The Trek That Forever Changed Our Lives

The Everest Base Camp trek has been on our hiking bucketlist for over a decade. For us, the journey to Everest Base Camp isn't just a trek, it's a hiking pilgrimage that will allow us to confront our mental and physical limitations, step outside of our comfort zones and into harsh high altitude environments and learn from a fascinating, humble and strong culture of Nepali people who, despite the hardships that are inevitably faced in the Himalayan mountains, never fail to share warmth and smiles every step of the way. As we make our way through the Himalaya hiking trails, from Lukla to Namche Bazaar to Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar, we hope to share with you the lessons we've learned from the mountain giants looming above us and the people we've encountered along the way. Not to mention, we can't wait to share with you the utterly spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the ultimate sunrise snack spot we had all to ourselves at Kala Patthar. We have truly fallen in love with Nepal, its mountains, and its people, and we hope that you will too.
