Union Pacific 535 is a Type C-57 Locomotive Built in 1903 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as 975 for the Oregon Short Line. After a long career with the Union Pacific, she was sold to the Laramie North Park & Western in 1947, as 535 was small enough to fit around the sharp corners on the Albany Loops. This extended her career much longer than fellow sister consolidations. In 1958, 535 was one of four UP Consolidations still operating in revenue service. She was steamed over to Labonte Park in 1959, then moved by crane to Depot Park in 2011. The Laramie Railroad Depot is a restored 1924 Union Pacific depot located in downtown Laramie, Wyoming. The Depot serves as a museum, event venue, and community gathering place dedicated to preserving local railroad history.
