Стенд для скутерных двигателей — покраска, лак и планы на диностенд | Часть 3

I’m continuing the build of a universal test stand for scooter engines. In Part 3, I finish painting and clear-coating the work table, frame, interchangeable engine mounts, small brackets and instrument panel. The finish is far from perfect: one freshly painted part falls straight into the dirt, the clear coat develops heavy runs, and yellow and burgundy paint dust settles across the workshop. However, the main goal of this prototype is functionality, not a show-quality finish. This stand is an experimental test version. I still need to install an engine, perform the first start-ups, check the frame rigidity and see how convenient it is to work with different scooter engines. I already have several ideas for version 2.0: — replace some angle iron with rectangular tubing; — strengthen the frame; — redesign the interchangeable engine mounts; — leave room for a future dyno system; — use the results of the first tests; — prepare the design for possible small-scale production. In the future, I plan to test Piaggio Big Block engines, turbocharged setups and eventually begin work on a twin-cylinder engine project. I also show a drum-brake wheel for the Piaggio Big Block, a test tire and the first steps in preparing the Vespa for engine removal and valve adjustment.
