Покраска Vespa пошла не по плану | Подтёки, шагрень и будущий Big Block

I’m continuing work on the Vespa and showing another failed attempt at a local paint repair. After filler and primer, everything initially looked acceptable, but pores appeared in the primer. Trying to cover them caused paint runs, and after sanding the surface became uneven, with visible steps, orange peel, small pits and too much paint buildup. The clear coat improved the finish slightly, but it did not fully hide the defects. Once everything dried and I removed the masking tape, a noticeable white edge remained around the repaired area. I do not want to polish and re-clear this panel again right now because I still need to use the Vespa, so the full body restoration will be postponed. I also clean and organize the garage tools, service sanding attachments, the impact wrench and drill drivers, install new wall-mounted tool holders, and show a useful pneumatic tool for removing welding slag and rust. I also talk about the previous Vespa project with a Piaggio Big Block 180 engine and the future plans for this scooter. Eventually it will receive a full body restoration, a better paint job and a more serious engine setup: either a Turbo Vespa or a more powerful Big Block, tuned on the engine test stand first.
