Webinar 10: Secondary Prevention After Myocardial Infarction

María A. Rodríguez, MD, presented a comprehensive review of secondary prevention strategies and cardiovascular disease management. Her presentation covered antiplatelet therapy, lipid-lowering agents and treatment goals, triglyceride management, and the use of cardioprotective agents. She also discussed anti-anginal strategies, blood pressure control, and the importance of lifestyle modifications. Additionally, she highlighted the role of physical activity, nutrition, smoking and alcohol use, sexual activity, and depression as key components of comprehensive cardiovascular patient care.
