Webinar 07: Movement Disorders and Neurodegenerative Diseases for Primary Care Physicians

José Rivera Baigés, MD,  delivered a comprehensive presentation on movement disorders and neurodegenerative diseases. During his session, he discussed the definition and classification of movement disorders, the importance of clinical history, and the phenomenology associated with tremor, dystonia, chorea, myoclonus, and tics. He also reviewed parkinsonism, diagnostic workup, red flags used to differentiate atypical from idiopathic parkinsonism, and general treatment principles. In addition, he addressed functional movement disorders as a special topic and highlighted their relevance in clinical practice.
