Colombia-09-The BEST Day After Lost City? Secret Waterfalls & Jungle Paradise in Colombia I Day 4

Welcome back to my Lost City Trek Colombia adventure! This is Day 4 of the incredible 5-day hike to Ciudad Perdida (The Lost City) deep in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta with Wiwa Walkers. After the unforgettable experience of exploring the ancient Lost City on Day 3, our journey continues through Colombia's breathtaking jungle. We woke up at Mukake Camp before sunrise, enjoyed breakfast at 5:30 AM, and prepared for another day of trekking through one of South America's most spectacular landscapes. Today was emotional as part of our group completed the 4-day trek and headed back to civilization. After saying goodbye to our new friends from Germany and Colombia, the rest of us continued deeper into the Sierra Nevada with our guide Jason. New hikers joined our small international group, creating fresh friendships along the trail. Day 4 turned out to be the ultimate waterfall day! First we reached the beautiful Pablo Waterfall, where we cooled off with a refreshing swim beneath the cascading water. Later we visited the mysterious El Abanico Waterfall, hidden among dramatic rock formations shaped by millions of years of geological activity. After only about 10 km of hiking, we arrived surprisingly early at Cascadas Camp. With plenty of time to relax, we swam in the river before I ventured alone to Tina Waterfall. Having the entire waterfall to myself was pure magic. Lying on a warm rock in front of the falls, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle, was one of the most peaceful moments of the entire trek.
