Colombia-10-I Survived the 5-day Lost City Trek in Colombia! River crossings & Jungle cable car!

Welcome to Day 5 and the final chapter of my incredible Lost City Trek (Ciudad Perdida) adventure in Colombia! After experiencing the breathtaking ancient Lost City hidden deep in the Sierra Nevada mountains, it's time to complete the final 12 km hike back to civilization. Together with my fellow trekkers from Denmark, France, Poland, Colombia, and our fantastic Wiwa Walkers guide Jason, we begin the last day of this unforgettable journey. Today's adventure includes crossing a river in flip-flops with water nearly reaching our waists, riding a handmade jungle cable car over the river, hiking through beautiful rainforest trails, and finally reaching Machete after five challenging but rewarding days in the Colombian jungle. After returning to Santa Marta, I check back into my hotel Aqua Marina, clean up after days of mud, enjoy an amazing street food pizza, and reconnect with fellow hikers from Germany to relive the highlights of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
